Fifties vintage desk light, Classic Dutch design table lamp from the fifties and sixties of the brand Hala Zeist. The lamp was designed by H.Th.J.A.Busquet. An iconic and well-known model of hala. Round flat metal (iron) base. Chrome adjustable rod and joint with a built-in switch. Curved rod on top. Adjustable white acrylic mushroom lampshade. Some metal parts. Bakelite E 27 socket. This light is in the (my opinion) best colour. Very dark brown. Height: 45 cm / 15.74” Lampshade: ∅ 26 cm / 10.23” Base: ∅ 19 cm / 7.48” Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 100 watt maximum, 110/220 volt. Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred. In very good condition. The lamp has been completely disassembled, technically checked and approved. Works on 1 x E27 fitting. Also suitable for American 110V power. A wonderfull opportunity to own a beautiful piece of Dutch vintage design. Herman Theodoor Jan Anthoin Busquet, the designer of many Hala lamps is also the founder of the company. The company’s origin is in Hannover, Germany. The name is derived from the Hannoversche Lampenfabrik GmbH, founded in 1920. HALA Hanover ended business in the 1960s. Both companies sold the same lamps and used similar catalogues. Hala from The Netherlands never stopped business.
